Donation Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all donations made to North Sky Raptor Sanctuary, a registered nonprofit organization. By making a donation, you (“Donor”) agree to the following:
1. Nature of Donations
All contributions made to North Sky Raptor Sanctuary are treated as voluntary charitable gifts. Donations are non-refundable, except in cases of processing error or where required by law, and requests within those standards must be made within 30 days of donation.
2. Tax Deductibility
North Sky Raptor Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Donors are responsible for consulting their tax advisors regarding the deductibility of contributions.
3. Use of Funds
Unless otherwise designated by the donor and accepted by the organization:
Donations are used for general operations, programs, and mission-related activities.
If a donor wishes to restrict a gift to a specific program or fund, please contact us.
4. Donor Information & Privacy
North Sky Raptor Sanctuary collects personal information solely for processing donations, issuing tax receipts, and providing stewardship communications.
The organization will not sell, trade, or share donor information with any third party, except:
To process payments,
To comply with legal obligations,
When authorized by the donor.
Donors may request anonymity by contacting the organization.
5. Donor Recognition
Donors may be acknowledged publicly unless they request otherwise. Recognition does not confer any ownership, membership rights, or governance authority within the organization.
6. Recurring Donations
Donors who opt into recurring donations authorize North Sky Raptor Sanctuary to process payments at the interval selected. Donors may change or cancel recurring payments at any time by contacting the organization or through the platform where the donation was initiated.
7. Payment Processing
Donations may be made via cash, check, credit/debit card, ACH transfer, or secure online payment systems. North Sky Raptor Sanctuary is not responsible for errors, delays, or service interruptions caused by third-party payment processors.
8. Receipts & Records
A donation receipt or acknowledgment will be provided for each contribution. For recurring donors, receipts may be issued per transaction or annually.
9. Fraud Prevention
If a donation is found to be fraudulent, unauthorized, or in violation of these Terms, the organization may reverse the transaction and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable laws.
10. Amendments
North Sky Raptor Sanctuary may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the organization’s website and will apply to future donations.

Capital Campaign Donor Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all donations, pledges, and related participation in the North Sky Raptor Sanctuary Capital Campaign (“Public Raptor Center”). By making a contribution or pledge, donors agree to the following:
1. Purpose of the Campaign
The Campaign is conducted by North Sky Raptor Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All funds raised through this Campaign will be directed toward the capital priorities outlined at www.northskyraptor.org/public-center, including but not limited to facility construction, renovation, equipment purchases, and long-term infrastructure improvements.

3. Use of Funds
Funds will be allocated according to organizational needs and Campaign priorities. North Sky Raptor Sanctuary reserves the right to reallocate contributions if project scopes or timelines change, or if portions of the Campaign become fully funded.
4. Donor Recognition
Donors wishing to have their contribution recognized on infrastructure, donors plaques, or similar items, should contact us directly.
Recognition does not constitute any ownership, governance rights, or ongoing privileges beyond those expressly described in Campaign materials.
5. Pledges
A pledge is a non-binding statement of intent to donate. While North Sky Raptor Sanctuary relies on pledged support for planning purposes, pledges are not legally enforceable. Donors who make pledges will receive reminders and documentation as needed.
If a donor needs to adjust or cancel their pledge, they may contact North Sky Raptor Sanctuary at any time.
6. Lifetime Memberships & Benefits (If Applicable)
If the Campaign offers lifetime memberships, naming opportunities, or other benefits:
Benefits apply only as defined in Campaign materials.
Benefits are symbolic recognitions, not financial investments.
Memberships and recognitions are non-transferable.
The organization may modify or discontinue recognition programs if necessary, while preserving the donor’s intent to the greatest extent possible.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances—including cost changes, regulatory requirements, supply chain issues, or environmental factors—the organization may adjust project scopes, timelines, or budgets. Such adjustments will be communicated as appropriate through Campaign updates.
11. Compliance With Laws
The Campaign operates in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing charitable solicitations. Certain jurisdictions require specific disclosures, which will be provided upon request.
12. Limitation of Liability
Participation in the Campaign does not create any contractual rights or claims against North Sky Raptor Sanctuary beyond those described in these Terms. The organization is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from donations or Campaign involvement.
13. Amendments
North Sky Raptor Sanctuary may update or amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted publicly on the organization’s website or included in donor communications.
