Our Mission

North Sky Raptor Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit bird of prey (hawks, eagles, falcons, owls, vultures, osprey, harrier, kites) rehabilitation center located in Grand Traverse County, Michigan, with an area of impact that reaches far beyond Northern Michigan.  Alongside our efforts to rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned raptors, N.S.R.S. is also dedicated to environmental education, research, and increasing the overall public awareness of wildlife, ecology, and environmental issues as they relate to raptors and other threatened and endangered species.  We achieve these missions through research partnerships, continuing education, skill sharing, development of prospective future rehabilitators, and an abundance of educational programming (featuring live educational ambassador raptors) both public and private.

The organization, which was founded in 2018, continues to soar thanks to it’s dedicated staff, the support of the public, and a passionate group of volunteers who all share a love of raptors, and ensuring their role in the wild for the enjoyment and appreciation of future generations.
